  • Dr.
    Apollo Oduol
    Veterinarian

Dr. Apollo is an established small animal veterinarian with several years’ experience in the veterinary and pharmaceutical industries. After years in the pharmaceutical industry both in Kenya and Canada, Dr. Apollo elected to return to veterinary practice and attended the VSTEP program at Ontario Veterinary College Guelph where he enhanced his Veterinary skills while preparing for his Certification. Since getting his North American Veterinary license in 2010, he has worked in busy 24 hour veterinary hospitals in the GTA and was inspired to settle down in private practice.

Dr. Apollo enjoys working with our four legged furry friends and has special interests in medicine, dentistry and surgery. He says the most rewarding thing about his job is educating clients and enabling pets to live longer and healthier lives.

A keen sports fan, in his spare time Dr. Apollo enjoys hiking outdoors, spending time with wildlife on safari and loves traveling with his family; or you may find him giving his time to help out at the OSPCA.

  • Dr.
    Gilbert Buenviaje

Dr. Gilbert’s dream is to provide excellent care to our four-legged family friends; including exotic animals. As a veterinarian for more than 20 years, he decided to enhance his knowledge in medicine and surgery under the mentorship of the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph – VSTEP program.

He received several awards and citations for his contribution to veterinary medicine in the Philippines. He obtained a Diploma in Veterinary Anatomic Pathology from Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph and was awarded the degree of Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy in Veterinary Pathology and Microbiology from James Cook University, Townsville, Australia.

Dr. Gilbert likes to spend time explaining to his clients and answers questions especially when it comes to tumors and disease processes. • "New to the area and didn’t have a vet yet.
My dog is my best friend, as a solo owner since having her as a puppy, she’s now 9.
The staff (upon my first call) was super friendly and patient answering questions despite my panic and lack of knowledge.
They were incredibly accommodating by seeing me last minute.
I really trusted and liked the girls working, they were amazing.
The team was very respectful of my budget, and went above and beyond with their at home care plan They also let you come to see the doctor after an emergency follow up at no cost.
I’m super appreciative of the staff at Fletcher Vet Hospital and will continue to see them.
    Thank you again.
    🐾 ❤️"

  • "Dr. Gilbert and Dr. Apollo are the most caring and gentle vets I could ever want for my pets. They are more than thorough in their exams, and will not hesitate to direct you in the right direction.
All of the staff are incredibly caring, knowledgeable and helpful. I have a dog with IBD, and if I have the slightest concerns, all I have to do is make a phone call and my questions are answered and uneasiness put to rest.
If you are lucky enough to get in as a patient with your pets, don't hesitate. Best Veterinary all round we've ever had!"
    Michelle
  • "We've been bringing our kitten here since she was 8 weeks old and have had a really great experience each time! The staff is really nice and answer all the questions we have at each visit. Would recommend if you're looking for a new vet!"
    Jay
  • "I have a vet currently for my dogs and my cat and they are very good but they do not see exotic pets. We own 3 ball pythons and two geckos. Our one gecko is having issues with her eye and while most vets will NOT give you any of over the phone the girl who answered my call was helpful and put my mind at ease and. I'm not even a customer yet and she took the time to listen and give me advice from what she had seen come into the clinic. Thank you so much for being human enough to recognize that our reptiles are loved as much as our furry pets and we worry just as much about them ❤"
    Holly
  • "I have nothing but great things to say about Fletcher Vet hospital. We have been bringing our dog Zoe here since she was 10 weeks old. They always go above and beyond when it comes to making sure she is properly cared for. We have never felt pressured into any service or test. With the pandemic, they have always been straightforward when explaining to us who can and can’t come into the clinic during her appointments which was just fine for us as we know she is in very caring hands."
    Theresa
  • "I went to Fletcher Veterinary Hospital due to a recommendation from a vet I knew. I had a very sick bearded dragon, and had been trying to see two different vets who couldn’t help me determine what was wrong. Dr.Gilbert worked with me to get her on meds, and get her an actual diagnosis. Unfortunately, she had a disease that was incurable. But thanks to Dr.Gilbert she never suffered, and we did everything we could do for her. I got to know she was in great hands, and I got to let her go peacefully knowing that I had done absolutely everything I could. The support I got from Nikki, I could never say thank you enough. I am a very harsh judge of clinics, as my sister is a small animal vet, and I have to say that this clinic blew me away. You’ll never have to doubt that your pet is cared for and will be getting top notch care.

Thank you especially Dr.Gilbert and Nikki, you made my last month with Hemi and her passing so much easier. I’ll never forget how wonderful you were."

  • "We just moved to Hamilton and this little fur pig decided to get sickies. We called all around town and no one would take her for 4 days to 2 weeks - but then we got a hold of Fletcher Veterinary Hospital, and they could take our peanut same day.

Dr. Apollo and the vet techs were wonderful. They were knowledgeable and experienced with ‘exotics’ and they took excellent care of Bunbun. A few days after, they even called to check up on her!

Really grateful to the staff and vet at this hospital and we are so happy and relieved to have our bunnies accepted as patients at their sister clinic, Fruitland."
